Academic support and counseling

We provide close support tailored to the individual needs of each student. In doing so, we are dedicated to the success of all students by offering a variety of solutions to effectively adapt to different situations and personalize each student’s educational journey.

ASEM (Specialized nursery school staff)

At the Lycée Français International de Delhi, ASEM plays a crucial role in developing communication, language, and linguistic skills. Their close engagement with each child, both inside and outside the classroom, enhances their integration into an entirely new world: a school environment characterized by specific social, cultural, and linguistic norms.

Lycée Français International de Delhi, all ASEM staff members are bilingual.

ASEM staff assists teaching personnel in welcoming, engaging, and maintaining the hygiene of very young children. Additionally, they are responsible for preparing and maintaining cleanliness in spaces and equipment directly utilized by these children. They actively contribute to the educational community and also oversee the well-being of young children during lunchtime.”

Pedagogical differentiation

It is a system where we tailor our approach to each child, all working toward the same goal but using different methods. For instance, there might be three possible techniques for teaching reading, depending on the child’s profile. However, this approach is not always successful, so we may need to change strategies at that point.

FLSco (French as a School Language)

The FLSco (French as a Language of Schooling) classes are primarily designed for newly arrived LFID students who have never been enrolled in the French education system. A program for non-French-speaking students, operating in collaboration with teachers from preschool to 5th grade. Students receive support in small groups outside the classroom, with a focus on linguistic assistance to provide the necessary language tools for each student’s adaptation journey.

Specialized Teacher

The specialized teacher supports students facing a range of difficulties, including academic challenges, health issues, behavioral problems, and psychological challenges. The teacher also assists children facing significant challenges or disabilities in finding appropriate solutions, fostering an inclusive school environment. The specialised teacher enables the child’s adaptation in the classroom, in close collaboration with the school doctor. The care is individualized and outside the classroom.

AESH (Accompanying Students with Disabilities)

A classroom assistant for children with special educational needs.

Homework assistance

For children whose parents do not speak French, an after-school program is available to assist them with their homework.

APC (Complementary Pedagogical Activities)

PPRE (Personalized Educational Success Program)

This support involves an agreement between the child, their parents, and the teacher for a specific period. It is personalized assistance provided in class, with additional support from parents at home.
