English

English is the second language of the bilingual measures  for primary school.

It’s taught by nursery school teachers. Though the teaching in college is not bilingual, the English speaking sections and the European sections in Lycée enable to increase the learning of the language. In these sections, history and geography are taught part time in English. For the pupils of the college who are not in the English learning section, two extra hours a week are at their time table.

The after school activities which are taken in charge by some English speaking persons  contribute also  to the learning of the English language.

English is also the language taught in in-depth linguistic study of the littérature serie.

Finally, we adopt a dynamic policy in Primary and Secondary schools for the Cambridge Certification

with the partnership of the British Council.

German

The LFID receives the services of a German teacher. We propose that 2^nd language from the 5th year, conforming to the new programs of the college of 2016. Links are present with the German School of Delhi (Deutsche Schule New Delhi)

Spanish

The LFID has a full time Spanish teacher. We propose that 2^nd language from the 5th year, conforming to the new programs of the college of 2016.

Certificates DELE are proposed to the pupils with the partnership of the Cervantes Institute of New Delhi.

Hindi

Since 2014, one hour of Hindi is at the time table and compulsory for the 6th and 5th forms. It  is taught as a cultural and linguistic discovery, in accordance to the window opened on the host country written in our school project.

Latin

Latin is kept in the teaching in college  starting from the 5th year.

Other languages

Our pupils coming from various countries and from different educational origins , some of them wish to keep the language they started studying in another school. Thus, they join a correspondance course, under the control of the LFID. The LFID follows and controls the progression of the studies so that the pupils are prepared to take these languages exams if they want to.
